This elite version of the Native 5 features CPM® M4 blade steel and a durable black Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating. A popular material for high-performance custom blades and knives used in competitive cutting, CPM M4 is a special-purpose, high-speed tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness.

The full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade of this knife offers outstanding edge geometry and proudly features Spyderco's iconic Trademark Round Hole™ for ambidextrous one-handed opening. It also features a tough DLC coating that eliminates reflection and helps protect the tool steel blade from corrosion.

The handle of this remarkable knife showcases textured natural G-10 scales and a lightweight linerless construction style. A solid stainless steel backspacer and refined back lock mechanism ensure outstanding structural strength, while the handle scales allow the broad-based stainless steel pocket clip to be easily configured for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. To complement the blade's DLC coating, the clip and all other handle hardware also feature low-profile black coatings.
