One of the premier steels for top-quality custom blades and knives used in competitive cutting, CPM-M4 is a special purpose high speed steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy composition, high vanadium content, and extremely fine grain structure give it exceptional wear resistance and toughness properties that translate to outstanding edge retention and impact resistance in knife blades. The PlainEdge¢ blade of this knife is full-flat ground and distally tapered for a remarkable balance of strength, low-friction cutting performance, and point utility. Its Trademark Round Hole¢ unmistakably brands it as a Spyderco product and is fully accessible for quick one-handed opening with either hand.

The handle of this Exclusive knife features stainless steel liners nested into textured natural G-10 scales. The near-translucent quality of the G-10 highlights the lightweight, open-backed handle construction and the structure of the knife's sturdy LinerLock mechanism. To ensure ease of carry and keep the knife poised for a rapid draw, the handle includes a stainless steel pocket clip configured for right-side tip-down carry.
