Chaves Knives Redencion 229 W/ Lee Williams Kickstop Drop Point Flipper Gold Dark Matter Fat Carbon DLC CPM-20CV (3.50in DLC) *Scratch/Dent*
Description
***This listing is for our last 2 Kickstop exclusives. The condition of the knives are perfect from factory, absolutely no issues opening, closing, or locking. The term scratch/dent is purely cosmetic and would be completely addressed if purchasing refinishing***
The Chaves Redencion 229 that we all know and love has now underwent a bit of a face lift! Utilizing the Kickstop hidden flipper tab designed by world renown custom knife maker Lee Williams, this gives the 229 ultimate firing action without changing the silhouette of the knife while open. This collaborative build really brings the EDC community something that has been missing, a beautifully made folding knife (thanks to Reate Knives amazing quality manufacturing) that can be used heavily, that doesn't have an obtrusive "Pocket Pecker" (thanks Shabazz) of a flipper tab. We feel that newcomers to Chaves and Chaves collectors alike will definitely be pleased with the new Chaves Redencion 229 Lee Williams Kickstop.
This is a WOK&EDCGH Exclusive Drop Featuring Gold Dark Matter Fat Carbon showside scale, DLC Coated Titanium lockside, DLC Coated Hardware, Spacer, and Clip(s), and a DLC Coated Blade in both Tanto and Drop Point. These are available ONLY HERE!

A Brilliant Limited Edition 21/44
I had been waiting for this new Kickstop 229 to drop and looking over the different sellers online to do so. I have ordered from all the usual suspects in the past but was highly impressed by this custom limited edition version from Way of Knife, so I decided to give it a shot. Then, after ordering, I saw the Jim Skelton video of the "Mars Attacks" Way of Knife custom version of the 229 and was reassured that this is gonna be a cool knife. When I opened the box and saw that Gold Dark Matter CF my jaw dropped. It is so much nicer in person than what the pic on the website represents, it is darker with dimensionality and sparkle yet understated, and it pops when light hits it. This is the Gentlemen's or classed up version of the 229. The DLC of the Blade, Hardware, Back Spacer and Frame Lock side is flawless and being that the clip is black it stands out from the rest of the Ultramar Line. My secondary clip was made Matte Gold by Way of Knife for free (they offer a few other free upgrades) for a change of pace should I want to add it. I had the polished edge upgrade which came out ok, being that it is a DLC it is the best you can expect, not a lot of room to work with. The action is sweet, needs a little break in as any new knife should but the detent pops it shut after a little encouragement on the drop. Being that this is a limited edition, you also receive some extras for which I won't spoil the surprise! Way of Knife is now my first go to online knife store. This Ramon Chaves Kickstop 229 knife alongside the Way of Knife's customizations and fast service has made for an exemplary experience. 5/5 nailed it!! Get one while you can!!
