The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is precision machined from Crucible® Industries' CPM® CRU-WEAR®—an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The CRU-WEAR used in this knife's blade is also enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the performance potential of the steel. To eliminate its reflective properties and help protect it from corrosion, this knife’s blade is also cloaked in a handsome black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.

Equally unique, this knife’s fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle is injection-molded in a classic military olive drab color. To complement the blade’s stealthy TiCN coating, the lock bar, four-position pocket clip, and all other handle hardware also proudly sport non-reflective black coatings.
