Our good buddy Matthew Wehrwein started off refinishing and modifying knives out of his house. Slowly he progressed from knife mods to basic brass prybars, then fixed blades and eventually folders. Now hearing Wehr knives is a common occurrence when talking about great craftsmanship from US custom knife makers. The Nugz is a production knife manufactured by Civivi Knives designed by Matt based on one of his custom knife designs, and dollar for dollar, it's a fantastic entry-level piece that will give the owner a great idea as to what to expect from Wehr designed knives in terms of geometry and overall style and is also a killer piece! Dual opening methods (flipper & oval hole) the detents are dialed in and make firing this knife really enjoyable. Since its riding on bearings, the blade closes smoothly and quickly falling centered between the two steel liners. The pocket clip sits high on the handle putting as much in the pocket as possible.
