Description
This is a fundraising event we're doing to raise some money to help cover some bills and procedures my aunt Bonnie is experiencing after being diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. Bonnie loves gardening and flowers and the red poppy is one of her favorites, the white ribbon symbolizes the fight against lung cancer/SCLC, and the phrase "No One Fights Alone" has become the official slogan for those battling this type of cancer. The below is information from the GoFundMe page. While supporting with a t-shirt alone is more than enough, anything extra left to give would mean the world. Thank you for taking the time to read this! And if you don't know my aunt bonnie, but DO know someone going through lung cancer, you can show your support for the cause that way. Thank you again from my entire family.

If you know my mom personally, you know that she is the sweetest person around and would give anyone the last penny she had on her. She has worked hard her entire life and she deserves nothing but love and support right now. I would give her the world if I could.
My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2010 and has been doing great up until a month ago when this all started.
She had a persistent cough that wouldn’t go away and was so tired she couldn’t walk from one room to the next.
After multiple rounds of antibiotics and prednisone that wasn’t making anything better, we took her to Mayo where a large mass was detected on CT scan.
After undergoing a bronchoscopy surgery earlier this week to biopsy the mass it was determined the large mass is Small Cell Carcinoma cancer.
this tumor is so large it is pressing on her trachea and esophagus making it very difficult to breathe and eat.
This news was sudden and unexpected and she has been living on her own taking care of herself and we are working with doctors at Mayo closely to determine what/if options available.
Due to the size of the mass complete removal of the mass is unlikely as it may be too dangerous.
A MR brain scan was performed on August 1st which detected NO cancer in her brain so we are hoping that the cancer has not spread.
She sees oncology at Mayo August 16th to hopefully get answers so we can determine next steps.
She is determined she is going to continue to live at home near her sister Lynne till she can no longer do so. I am hoping to get some things for her that will make every day life a little easier for her so she can keep her independence for as long as she can.
Unfortunately my mom doesn’t have money to pay for any expenses that insurance will not cover since she is retired and we know expenses will be high.
Depending on outlook and next steps I’m hoping that money and bills is the one thing my mom will not have to think about.
there will be expenses for treatment or if decided; palliative care and I am asking that if you are able to give anything at all please donate if you can.
This account is linked directly to an account in her name that she will have access to purchase things like food, clothes as she looses weight, cover prescription co pays and medical expenses as they arise and just general bills during all of this.
If you cannot donate money and would rather order something she needs she also has set up an Amazon wish list as time goes on for things she needs that you can order from if you want to help but cannot donate money.
We will try to keep everyone updated as best we can as time goes on, please feel free to join her caring page on Facebook for updates as they come in.
